Here’s the new LEGO sets releasing in October: Star Wars, Fortnite, Super Mario, DC, more

New sets! From $15

Another month is almost here, which means a new wave of LEGO building sets is poised to hit the market as the clock ticks us over into October. We’ve got a bigger lineup of kits hitting the shelves this time around, with a good mix of holiday additions, video game collaborations, popular figures, and more. Today, we’re dropping our monthly rundown so you can brush up and browse before going on a spree to spend to your heart’s content – and there are several here already open for pre-orders too! Head below for a look at all the new LEGO sets releasing in October 2024.

Last month we saw a number of holiday-themed sets drop, and the LEGO Group is following suit once again with several new seasonal releases, like the charming 10339 Santa’s Post Office set to add to your Winter Village, with Halloween vibes continuing from the three Wednesday Addams sets – and don’t miss out on the first discounts hitting some of the 2024 LEGO Advent Calendars either! We’re also getting the new UCS 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge build that will give Star Wars fans a new massive display-worthy endeavor. For gamers, one of the most buzzed-about pieces among the bunch, the 71438 Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi 16-bit figure, is releasing with the four exclusive LEGO Fortnite sets – and there’s plenty more from Art to Disney, DC, and much more.

You can head over to LEGO’s online storefront to browse through all the upcoming sets or head below to get a refresher on what to expect when October finally arrives.

Art

Revealed months ago, you’ll be able to adorn your walls with LEGO’s brick-built take on Leonardo Da Vinci’s iconic masterpiece. Not only will you get two different options for eye placement, but also the most drum-lacquered gold pieces in any set we’ve seen to date.

Batman

Adam West’s retro cruiser is getting the LEGO makeover on a larger scale that fits right in beside a few other iterations like the 76240 Batmobile Tumbler. It also comes along with a 1966-style Batman minifigure wearing his distinctive cape and cowl.

  • 76328 Batman – The Classic TV Series Batmobile: $149.99 shipped | 1,842 pieces

Disney

Our one Disney set this month combines some classic Disney nostalgia with more recent fan favorites – all of them balanced among one another and centered around what many might remember as their first introduction to the name-turned-franchise: Fantasia, specifically the Sorcerer’s Apprentice section of the movie.

Fortnite

Gamers are getting four fun new LEGO sets bursting straight out of Fortnite, with plenty of buzz having been building since it was announced, especially the 77073 Fortnite Battle Bus that brings nine minifigures along for the ride. The other standout is the 77072 Peely Bones that the LEGO Group has deemed as 18+ set due to the intricately designed innards.

Minecraft

It’s Baby Pig’s birthday! And the celebration doesn’t just include the titular animal – five brick-built friends are joining the festivities with a cute, blocky birthday cake for them to gather around. Happy birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!

Seasonal-themed sets

There’s a nice selection of Christmas-themed sets that will likely deck plenty of builders’ halls in the coming days/weeks. There’s the two latest additions to the Botanical collection, alongside two of the latest builds joining LEGO’s Winter Village, with 10339 Santa’s Post Office bringing plenty of charm, though it will only be available for Insiders until October 4.

Sonic

The first 18+ set in the Sonic the Hedgehog theme, Shadow is getting a spotlight with this buildable bust that achieves some pretty difficult shapes through some creative brickwork. Along with the nameplate that helps make it even more display-ready, there are also some fun Easter eggs hidden in the build, with a Chaos Emerald and some gold rings too.

Star Wars

Releasing on October 3 for Insiders and October 6 for everyone else, 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge will deliver a challenging fusion between typical UCS scope (with the size coming in at 30.3 inches long, and 9.8 inches tall and deep) with the detailed interior of a Master Builder Series (MBS) set. Not only does it come populated by 11 minifigures from Return of the Jedi, but LEGO is also enticing builders by offering the 40730 Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber as an exclusive gift with purchase alongside this set from October 3 to 10.

Super Mario

Those who spent time playing on a Super Nintendo game system will recognize this 16-bit throwback of Mario and his reptilian steed, Yoshi. There’s even some movement action built into the design, with a hand crank that triggers Yoshi to run in place and stick out his tongue to gobble up enemies.

  • 71438 Super Mario World – Mario & Yoshi: $129.99 shipped | 1,215 pieces

Wednesday Addams

These three new sets that we are getting come as part of LEGO’s collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios, bringing the world of the hit Netflix series to life in brick-built form. The 76781 Wednesday & Enid’s Dorm Room set’s interior reflects Wednesday’s words upon meeting her bubbly roommate: “It looks like a rainbow vomited on your side,” while the 76780 Wednesday Addams figure comes jam-packed with plenty of accessory details and some mystery in the form of hidden compartments.

Wicked

Releasing ahead of the upcoming movie starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande, four new LEGO Wicked sets will be defying gravity on the first of the month and bringing bright and colorful takes on the magical land of OZ. Featuring minidolls over minifigures, the largest of these sets is the 75684 Welcome to Emerald City set that really pops with color while giving us a vivid scene filled with plenty of favorite characters like Elphaba, Glinda, The Wizard (in his youth), and more.
