LEGO officially unveils details on upcoming 75398 C-3PO buildable figure set, now up for pre-order

Pre-order New set!

June was quite the busy month in terms of LEGO news and releases, and today we’re bringing you an update on one of the most anticipated LEGO Star Wars sets coming onto the scene in just a month. The company has just revealed its new LEGO 75398 C-3PO figure building set, including its pricing, that will be released alongside a variety of other LEGO Star Wars kits this coming August. Get more details alongside a closer look with more images down below.

This new building set gives you a detailed and beautifully designed figure of the universe’s favorite protocol droid, complete with an included display plaque, a LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick, and a C-3PO minifigure. You can now get your pre-orders in ahead of its release, with pricing set for $139.99 shipped.

This kit will officially release August 1, 2024, alongside six other known sets: 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea, 75389 The Dark Falcon75392 Creative Play Droid Builder75393 TIE Fighter & X-Wing Mash-up, 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer and the 75396 Desert Skiff and Sarlacc Pit set.

Stacking up to 1,138 pieces and standing over 15 inches tall, as we mentioned in our first-looks coverage, there is some truly amazing curves and contours being used in this set’s brick work. The head and arms are completely movable and can be set to different configurations, letting you pose him as you please – you can even have him positioned next to the 75379 R2-D2 figure and recreate his famous pats on his old friend’s head like in the films.

Sporting the original (and often forgotten) dual-moulded silver leg first seen in A New Hope, that particular design detail has only really been seen in the 75341 UCS Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder set, so its nice to see it return to the scene once again – and with the minifigure mirroring the look too!
