The Summer Game Fest has come and gone, Ubisoft Forward showcased the latest on the big upcoming Assassin’s Creed release, and Microsoft hosted an epic game summer showcase with the reveal of new Xbox Series X|S hardware, but we aren’t done just yet. Nintendo just took to its official X (Twitter feed) to announced its next Direct presentation and it’s going to be tomorrow morning! Head below for more details.
Summer Nintendo Direct inbound!
Tomorrow’s summer Nintendo Direct showcase is scheduled to go live at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET. It will be live on just about all major Nintendo channels with 40 minutes of gameplay and updates of new games coming to Switch.
Much like just about every other modern Direct showcase, we don’t have any real ideas of what those games will be, but Nintendo has said it will focus on titles coming to Switch this year. Lugi’s Mansion 2 HD remake is about a week out, so perhaps we’ll get a look at that, Nintendo World Championships also seems likely, as does Cat Quest III, but as for major big ticket first-party titles, we aren’t sure. Mario just hit pretty hard with Wonder and the RPG remake, it has to be too early for Zelda, but perhaps Donkey Kong could make a surprise appearance.
One thing we know isn’t going to make an appearance is the new Switch hardware. Nintendo has specifically said as much too:
There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.
Nonetheless, it should be a fun show and we will be here to watch it along with you tomorrow morning. See ya then!
