As part of its latest 3-day weekend sale, Best Buy is serving up some notable deals on Apple’s latest HomePod mini. You can score the HomePod mini in all five colors down at $79.99 shipped from the regular $99 to match our Memorial Day offer and to deliver one of less than a handful of deals we have tracked this year. Today’s offer also lands within $1 of last year’s Black Friday pricing and comes within $5 of the recent limited-time deal we tracked at Verizon – this was a buy one get one 50% off that required you to drop $150 though. Head below for more details.
While some folks aren’t exactly in love with the HomePod lineup – it admittedly needs a refresh, I still love my HomePod mini to have as a centralized mini sound maker and Siri device, be it for setting timers with my voice in the kitchen, getting the weather, or just playing some tunes while cooking.
It delivers on that fabric-like wrapping we have come to know from the Apple smart speakers across all five colorways at the discounted rate this weekend. The illuminated touchpad on top dances and glows when you touch down or ask for Siri’s assistance, while the “full-range driver and dual passive radiators” crank the tunes out – okay it’s not the loudest speaker but it’s more good enough for me for some casual tunes with company, while cleaning, or otherwise. Apple’s U1 chip delivers quick music handoff from your iPhone and you can also pair two of them up for a wider, stereo sound. Our re-visited coverage over at 9to5Mac details the experience further.
HomePod mini features:
Jam-packed with innovation, HomePod mini fills the entire room with rich 360-degree audio. Place multiple speakers around the house for a connected sound system. And with Siri, your favorite do-it-all intelligent assistant helps with everyday tasks and controls your smart home privately and securely.
