New Macintosh-inspired case wraps your iPhone 17 Pro/Max in vintage Apple vibes

Some 40+ year ago, Apple introduced the Macintosh, and today Spigen is celebrating with the release of its Macintosh-inspired iPhone 17 Pro/Max case. Complete with ’80s vibes and small details harkening back to Apple’s first Mac, the new Spigen LS MagFit iPhone 17 Pro case is now available for purchase at $39.99 via its official Amazon storefront. Details await below.

Spigen is no stranger to vintage Apple-inspired products – look no further than its iMac G3 accessory line – and this isn’t even the first time it has tapped the Macintosh, but this is arguably its best implementation yet.

With a sort retro-style rounded square form-factor adorning the vintage-inspired beige-gray facade, this thing certainly has Macintosh vibes around every corner. You’ll find a “Hello” detail on the power button and an old Apple-like logo in the bottom left corner on the back case, alongside a series of more modern implementations like a Camera Control cover and MagSafe.

  • Special Edition Case inspired by Macintosh 128K for Apple’s 50th Anniversary
  • Lanyard strap hole built directly into the design for secure attachment without adding bulk or compromising strength
  • Precise cutout, raised design around camera, flash and sensor providing full protection
  • Touch-sensitive and capacitive T cover for seamless capture button functionality
  • Compatible with Magsafe accessories and wireless charging

It is perhaps a little bit gimmicky for some, and understandably so, but for those that are into this sort of thing Spigen tends to do a decent job on its Apple-inspired capsules. The brand typically to delivers some of the better accessories out there that don’t break the bank, and while the Apple-focused gear can come at a bit of a premium (at least by Spigen standards, anyway), it is typically worth the cost of entry.

I do have this case on hand in the office, and in my early testing it does deliver on just about exactly what it says. It is certainly not a particularly premium case that would cost more like double the asking here, but Spigen has already proven itself in the Camera Control button cover game and everything looks and feels right thus far.
