Nintendo drops new Mario Tennis Fever gameplay video ahead of next month’s release

Get a closer look Mario Tennis Fever ahead of launch next month

Set for release on February 12, in just over a month from now, Mario Tennis Fever will debut exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 as the Mushroom Kingdom sets to take the court once again.

Mario Tennis Fever was first announced as part of the 40th anniversary Mario celebration last year alongside titles like the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 bundle and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. At the time it, to some, felt like it was still a long ways off, but fast forward 4 months and release is right around the corner now.

Mario Tennis Fever features 38 playable characters (the “most in series history”) alongside 30 all-new Fever Rackets wielding different effects and powers:

It’s tennis…with a twist! Mix and match 38 playable characters, the most in series history, with 30 all-new Fever Rackets, each with different special effects! Use familiar tennis actions and new defensive maneuvers, get a rally going in a variety of game modes, help Mario and friends return to normal in the story-driven Adventure mode, and ace it in local* or online** play!

Pre-orders are now live on Mario Tennis Fever via Amazon and elsewhere.
