Razer’s Project AVA desktop hologram from CES 2026 is a fancy personal AI assistant for your battlestation

Razer is known for dishing out some crazy CES announcements, and this year is no exception. The brand rolled out a wide range of new offerings – some that you’ll eagerly want to add to your battlestations, and others that feel more impressive on paper than in real-world appeal. Arguably the most intriguing reveal is the physical, holographic version of Project AVA, the assistant it first teased last year. Yes, Razer is looking to bring Project AVA directly to your desk in a sci-fi–inspired enclosure, complete with an HD eye-tracking camera and a far-field microphone. Hit the jump for more details.

Razer’s Project AVA is now a holographic AI assistant

According to Razer, this new assistant is designed to be far more than a gaming companion. The company is positioning it as a “personal life organizer,” capable of helping not just in games, but also with everyday life and work. That includes acting as a daily planner, a wellness and habit coach, and a general productivity assistant.

You can choose from several different avatars – AVA, KIRA, ZANE, FAKER, and SAO – each offering the same core functionality with a different personality and look. These avatars are built to listen to your voice, observe what you’re doing both inside and outside of games, and respond in real time, talking back to guide, assist, or offer suggestions when you need them.

Razer is aiming to ship Project AVA in the second half of 2026, and interestingly enough, you can already reserve a unit today. There’s still plenty we don’t know – most notably the final price and how genuinely useful it will be in day-to-day scenarios – but it’s undeniably one of those eye-catching concepts that makes you stop and ask, “Wait… is this actually real?” If Razer can deliver on its promises, Project AVA could end up being more than just a flashy tech demo.

A green light in a glass container

Beyond the holographic AI assistant, Razer has also shown off an AI-native wearable called Project Motoko, the Wolverine V3 headset, and a new generation of Iskur V2 gaming chair alongside several other experimental products. Together, they paint a picture of Razer leaning hard into AI-driven hardware, and if you’re curious to see what else they’ve been working on, you can check out the full showcase right here.
