LG’s new ultra-thin 9mm W6 Wallpaper TV goes wireless at CES 2026

After the reveal of its new Gallery TV to take on Samsung’s The Frame, the brand’s CES 2026 offerings also include the return of its Wallpaper TV. The ultra-thin LG OLED evo W6 lands with support for the brand’s Gallery+ service as well as all-new wireless connectivity and a notably thin design to sit flush up against your wall.

LG’s Wallpaper TV is back

It has been roughly 6-years since we last saw a new entry in the LG Wallpaper TV lineup. While the new evo W6 is actually a touch thicker than the previous model, it still lands at only 9mm and this time includes a new wall mount rig to sit almost entirely flush on your wall.

Leading the 2026 lineup is the LG OLED evo W6, envisioned to blend into the space while leaving just the experience. With a nine-millimeter-class thin body, achieved by meticulous miniaturization of essential components and a complete re-engineering of its internal architecture, the Wallpaper TV delivers a sleek, lightweight form without sacrificing structural integrity. An improved wall mount also enables the TV to sit flush against the wall from edge to edge, completing the intended Wallpaper Design.

That might seem like a let down considering we are six years on, however this model also lands with support for the LG Zero Connect Box. The TV itself will still need to get plugged in for power, but there are no other cables needed – the Zero Connect Box that houses all of its input connections can sit up to 10 meters away from the TV for a super-clean, and likely very pricey setup.

LG says the new OLED evo W6 is the first TV out there to receive Reflection Free certification from Intertek testing labs – it, apparently, delivers the least amount of reflection of any TV in the brand’s lineup.

Also on the picture quality side of things, you’ll find its new new Hyper Radiant Color Technology for enhanced color, brightness, and black levels, while Brightness Booster Ultra (that is also found on other models in its lineup), delivering a 20% boost in brightness by comparison to last year’s G5 model.

Orchestrating these visual advancements is the new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3, featuring a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that is 5.6 times more powerful.7 This increase in computing power enables the new Dual AI Engine. Unlike traditional processors that often sacrifice natural texture to reduce noise, the Dual AI Engine runs parallel algorithms to execute both tasks simultaneously, resulting in a balanced image that retains natural detail while eliminating over-sharpening.

Alongside AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility, the evo W6’s panel clocks in with a 165Hz refresh rate. “With a 0.1 millisecond pixel response time and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), the displays offer the responsiveness sought by gamers.”

As of the time of writing, no release date or price has been announced. We know the W6 Wallpaper TV will land in 77- and 83-inch sizes at launch, looks particularly impressive, and will likely be quite (very) expensive.
