Details are a bit scarce on this new FlipPad at the moment as 8BitDo has dished out a teaser for now.

The teaser video, as you can see, shows the flip-style controller in use with an iPhone, connected via a USB-C port. 8BitDo emphasizes that the controller is officially supported by Apple, although it’s still offers compatibility with Android devices.

In terms of design, the controller features a classic D-pad paired with 12 face buttons, including A, B, X, and Y. Notably, however, it skips analog thumbsticks entirely, leaning into a more button-focused control scheme.

8BitDo says this controller is officially slated to release in Summer 2026, and we’ll have more to talk about it soon once it goes official.
