By way of its official Amazon storefront, Goal Zero is offering its Yeti 700 Portable Power Station at $524.89 shipped, while the smaller Yeti 500 Portable Power Station is down at $374.89 shipped. Normally, these two stations would fetch $700 and $500 at full price, which is where they’ve mostly been keeping since March. While we have seen the price drop lower in the past, you’re still looking at solid $175 and $125 markdowns to the best prices we have tracked in the last eight months. Head below to learn more about these two units’ capabilities.
Part of Goal Zero’s sixth generation of power stations, the Yeti 700 and Yeti 500 come as more compact backup power solutions that can cover you through camping, road trips, tailgates, and more – with my own girlfriend using one to power various devices/tools in her art/fabrication studio, especially when the grid fails. The main difference between these two stations is their capacities and output levels, with the Yeti 700 having a 677Wh battery and 600W to 1,000W output, while the Yeti 500 has a 499Wh battery and 500W to 1,000W output.
Both power stations give you two AC ports, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and a car port to choose from, and come with a max 200W solar input that can recharge anywhere between 2.9 to 4 hours in the sun. From there, the Yeti 500 boasts a 90-minute AC charging rate, and the Yeti 700 does the same in two hours.
Of course, we’ve also got alternate (and much more expansive) options available from EcoFlow, Anker SOLIX, Bluetti (with exclusive bonus savings), Jackery, and Mango Power – all of which currently have Christmas sales running with up to 75% savings, which you can browse in our dedicated power stations hub here. There’s also these and all the EV and tool deals from last week that have been collected into our latest Electrified Weekly edition here.
