Unlike all the other Tenways e-bikes, one of the big shakeups with the new Wayfarer e-bike is its included throttle for pure electric riding, whereas the other models all sport lighter designs with throttle-less pedal-assistance-only systems. It’s also seeing a larger-than-normal 500W rear hub motor added to its build, which can peak as high as 750W and comes powered by a 720Wh battery. With this combination, the e-bike can provide up to 85 miles of pedal-assisted support (presided over by a torque sensor) or up to 35 miles of throttle-only riding – all while hitting top 20/28 MPH speeds (depending on your local laws).
The brand is well known for its more premium lineup of features, and the Wayfarer is definitely fitting right in with its predecessors in that regard, especially when considering the Apple Find My integration and other app-based features. Among the physical stock features, you’ll find hydraulic disc brakes with power cut-off, Kenda EPS all-terrain puncture-resistant tires, an 8-speed Shimano derailleur, an LED headlight, a brake-activated taillight with turn signaling, a TFT LCD screen for setting adjustments, and more.
