Amazon’s 2025 Echo Dot Max smart speaker just hit a new all-time low (Undercuts Black Friday deal)

We caught Amazon undercutting its own Black Friday deal on the Echo Spot yesterday, and now it is doing the same thing on the brand new Echo Dot Max. The very first discount hit this model for Black Friday this year at a light 10% off, but you’ll now find this one down at $79.99 shipped to deliver a new all-time low.

The Echo Dot Max was first unveiled and subsequently launched back in September as part of Amazon’s 2025 Devices event. It carries a $100 list price and is now 20% off at $79.99 – the lowest price we have tracked to date.

It also now sits alongside a series of new deals across Amazon’s smart Echo speaker lineup – while the Spot has also dropped even lower than we saw on Black Friday, the new Studio is matching its holiday low, much like we are seeing on the other iterations below:

The new Echo Dot Max takes everything from the standard 2022 model and amps it up. Designed to accommodate larger communal spaces, it also features Amazon Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos tech, an expanded 4-microphone array to “deliver best-in class Alexa + support,” the more powerful AZ3 Pro, and built-in smart home hub tech.

Features a built-in smart home hub and Omnisense technology for highly personalized experiences. All powered by an AZ3 chip for fast performance.
  • This device comes with Alexa+ Early Access: Upgrade to our smarter, more proactive AI assistant when you set up this device.
  • Music to your ears: With nearly 3x the bass versus Echo Dot (2022 release), it fits beautifully in any space, delivering your personal sound stage with deep bass and enhanced clarity. Listen to streaming services, such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and SiriusXM. Encore!
  • Do more with device pairing: Connect compatible Echo devices in different rooms, or pair with a second Echo Dot Max to enjoy even richer sound. Pair your Echo Dot Max with compatible Fire TV devices to create a home theater system that brings scenes to life.
  • Simple smart home control: Set routines, pair and control lights, locks, and thousands of devices that work with Alexa without needing a separate smart home hub. Extend wifi coverage with a compatible eero network and say goodbye to drop-offs and buffering. With Omnisense technology, you can activate routines via temperature or presence detection.
