While there are still some $100 price drops live across the new M5 iPad Pro lineup, we just spotted a particularly giant deal on the 512GB 13-inch M4 iPad Pro at nearly $450 off the list price courtesy of Amazon.
Amazon is now offering the 512GB 13-inch M4 iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cell model down at $1,249.97 shipped. This was a regularly $1,699 configuration before it was replaced by the new M5 model that is now nearly $450 off.
This giant discount is the lowest price we have ever tracked at Amazon on this configuration and the best we can find. Previous to today, this model had never dropped below $1,470 there.
This is indeed the always-connected cell variant that fetches a premium over the standard 512GB, but even that regularly $1,499 model has only dropped below $1,299 a couple times – it hit the $1,206 all-time low in silver last month.
For some, investing over $1,200 in a now previous-generation iPad is just not worth it, and that is perhaps understandable. But I think it’s safe to say these pro-grade Apple tablets are still quite a powerful and compelling solution and will remain as such for years – the M4 chip is still powering plenty of current-generation machines and the iPad Air lineup is still running the M3 at this point. It is also worth noting the comparable M5 machine is going to run you $1,440 without the cell connectivity and the full $1,699 with it right now.
