Shoot 4K ProRes RAW straight from iPhone 17 to Lexar’s 1TB ES5 MagSafe SSD, now down at $89 all-time low for Black Friday

As part of the now live Black Friday Week sale, Amazon is offering Lexar’s newly launched ES5 magnetic portable SSD for $89.49 shipped. It debuted a couple of months ago at $120 and has stayed around that price ever since. Today’s Black Friday Week deal slashes $30 off its usual going rate, marking the steepest price drop we’ve tracked for it. This is the lowest price we have tracked for it to date, and it’s now fetching $20 less than its previous all-time low. The 2TB variant of this SSD is also at $139.49 shipped, which is also the lowest we have seen it fetch to date. Head below for more details.

This magnetic portable drive is one of the newest SSDs out there, equipped with a Type-C port and is capable of delivering flagship-grade performance. The ES5 SSD pairs nicely with the latest iPhone as it can be magnetically attached to its back and supports direct Apple ProRes video recording at 4K 60/120fps. You can also connect it to a wide range of other devices, including PCs, Macs, and even gaming handhelds, delivering transfer speeds of up to 2,000MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen 2×2.
