Lenovo’s SteamOS Legion Go S gaming handhelds hit lowest prices for Black Friday from $450 (Up to $250 off)

As part of its now live Black Friday sale, Best Buy is offering Lenovo’s Legion Go S gaming handheld with SteamOS from $449.99 shipped. This base model hit the scene carrying a $500 price tag earlier this year before jumping up with an official price hike. Today’s deal takes $250 off its listed rate, landing it $100 below its previous all-time low and our mention from earlier this year. The SteamOS-powered variant of the Legion Go is rarely discounted, so the fact that it’s now going for even less than its original $500 launch price makes this an excellent offer if you are in the market to buy a new handheld. The more powerful 32GB RAM/1TB SSD model of the Legion Go S is also down to $649.99 shipped, which is $130 less than its previous all-time low. Head below for more details.

Valve didn’t announce a new version of Steam Deck when it showed off the new Steam Machine, meaning the Legion Go S is the only other reliable alternative out there with SteamOS. The base model comes with AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Go chip, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD, while the top-tier version steps it up with a Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage. Both variants use an 8-inch display with 120Hz support and keep the same ergonomic design, now with a larger rear fan compared to the standard Legion Go. We previously tested the Windows version of the Legion Go S, and you can check out our hands-on impressions right here.
