There was a time when Black Friday actually happened on the last Friday of the month, but those days are long gone – the official 2025 Amazon Black Friday sale starts tonight.

Technically the official start is actually tomorrow morning, but if the sale is anything like year’s past the deals will start going live as early as 9 p.m PT this evening with the full slate of price drops landing right at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET. Be ready.
Amazon officially announced its Black Friday sale details way back during the second week of the month, and the official start time is officially upon us.
As we have detailed previously, and as we have seen over the last couple of years, Amazon’s official Black Friday sale is really a Black Friday Week event. This year it will be running from roughly midnight tonight right through until Thanksgiving and Black Friday proper before transitioning into its Cyber Monday sale over that weekend.
While, traditionally and historically speaking, the deals use to really hit the hardest right on Thanksgiving and Black Friday (the last Friday of the month), things don’t quite work like that anymore. We are certainly expecting new price drops to go live come November 27 to coincide with select brands that have chosen to remain traditional in terms of when the big-time deals go live, but Amazon will have some serious price drops hitting tonight.
The official Google sale goes live tomorrow, so you can bet those deals will be live on Amazon and quite possibly even lower starting tonight. We are expecting a series of major Apple deals on current-gen MacBooks, iPad, AirPods, and even iPhone. And that’s all just for starters – there are plenty of brands, like Anker, Bose, LEGO and others that are all expected to have new deals going live on November 20 (in the middle of the night tonight).
On top of that, and joining the already live slate of Amazon tech we have already featured (much of which went live today and found below), we are expecting the first price drops on some of Amazon’s latest Echo gear and Kindle readers to go live tonight as well. There is a chance Amazon keeps some of this gear for Thanksgiving next week, but we are betting on just about all of the big-ticket items to hit late tonight.
