Come tune in to today’s 40-minute PS5 State of Play showcase

As we reported yesterday, Sony is set to host the next State of Play livestream later this afternoon and you can tune in down below along with us. This time around, we are heading across the pond for Singles’ Day 2025 to showcase 40 straight minutes of titles “created in Japan and across Asia.”

November State of Play goes live today

The September State of Play featured 35+ minutes of updates on titles like Housemarque’s mysterious new Saros, alongside Battlefield 6, the Deus Ex Remaster, the Nioh 3 launch date trailer, the reveal of Sony’s new Elevate wireless gaming speakers, and a particularly remarkable gameplay trailer for the long-awaited Wolverine.

It’s hard to say what Sony might have in store for us today by comparison, but this is clearly going to be a lengthy 40-minute livestream with some notable reveals and details – it has tapped voice actor Yuki Kaji to hose the event and it is promising both “beloved series” and some “distinctive indie creations.” Maybe we will get Bloodborne 2 🤣.

The special event State of Play goes live today at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET and will stream live with Japanese audio and English subtitles on the PlayStation YouTube channel – you can watch it down below with us when it goes live later this afternoon:

Updating…

In the meantime, Sony just uploaded a new gameplay trailer for Where Winds Meet – an “epic Wuxia open world action-adventure game developed by Everstone Studio,” for those unfamiliar.

Set during the turbulent era of tenth-century China, you take on the role of a young sword master, uncovering forgotten truths and the mysteries of your own identity. As the wind stirs across mountains and rivers, so too will your legend rise.
