Alongside the debut of its new Echo speakers and the rest of the 2025 Amazon tech lineup, the online behemoth also debuted its all-new Fire TV Stick 4K Select. This is the lowest-priced 4K model in the lineup now and it just got its first notable price drop down to $24.99 with free shipping for Prime members. But you might want to consider the Plus model instead – it’s arguably even better and you can score it for a touch less right now.

Regularly $40, Amazon is now offering a solid 38% discount on the new Fire TV Stick 4K Select at $24.99 Prime shipped. This is the first straight up cash discount on Amazon and a subsequent all-time low.

But here’s the thing, Amazon traded out the Android support on the Select model for its new VegaOS – many folks aren’t too happy about that

The Select model will otherwise soon support the new Alexa on Fire TV experience as well as Xbox Game Pass via cloud gaming so you can “stream Forza Motorsport, Starfield, Palworld, and hundreds of games on your Fire TV Stick 4K Select,” but there is no Android action here.

All of that said, you can indeed score the previous and arguably better Fire TV Stick 4K Plus for even less right now at $23 anyway – this deal undercuts Prime Day pricing too.

Here’s a quick look at some of the other differences between the Fire TV 4K Select and Plus models for reference:
