After some exciting new LEGO reveals this month, the LEGO Group is finally ripping the veil off a long-awaited Ideas set that we first got wind of over a year ago, right alongside the now-released Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo set that hit shelves at the top of the month. The new LEGO Ideas 21363 The Goonies set will mark the final build to join the theme in 2025, coming packed with blast-from-the-past details from one of the most beloved films of the 80s – and the best part is you won’t have to wait very long from today to get your hands on it! It’s going to be a massive set, worthy of taking center stage in your display, and we’ve collected all the details and photos for you below.
Hey, you guys! Get ready to clear out room for the massive LEGO Ideas 21363 The Goonies set, which stacks up to 2,912 pieces in order to celebrate this staple of the 80s, complete with loads of interactive details and an amazing minifigure lineup. Once it’s all built, One-Eyed Willie’s ship, The Inferno, will stand at 14 inches tall, 24.5 inches wide, and 7 inches deep, and of course keeps to the original dual-sided ship-faced front and open cave network in the back that won the If We Could Turn Back Time Challenge back in 2024. And of course, those caves are filled with plenty of callbacks to the iconic scenes from the movie, peppered in to highlight all the nostalgia.
As the movie was constantly moving and filled with action, so too is this design, and I’m sure Goonies fans will be in absolute heaven getting to relive the fun (because I know I am and I don’t even have my hands on it yet). There are multiple traps alongside other climatic moments from the story, like the Skeleton Key scene, for example.
And we’re also getting an epic array of 12 minifigures here, including Mikey, Mouth, Chunk, Data, Brand, Andy, Stef, Mama Fratelli, Jake and Francis Fratelli, One-Eyed Willie, and the lovable Sloth. All the characters here have exclusive torso designs, with some new elements thrown in, like Sloth’s Pirate Hat and Bandana, Mama Fratelli’s beret and hair, and more.
The LEGO Ideas 21363 The Goonies set will be available soon at $329.99 shipped, as it hits shelves on November 1, 2025 for LEGO Insiders, while general release is slated for November 4, 2025. The LEGO Group is sweetening the pot further, as purchases made from November 1 to 7 will also get the 40773 The Walshes’ Attic GWP set, giving you Irving Walsh and Irene Walsh in their attic with tons of stickers and a printed The Goonies tile.
