Amazon is back at again, slightly undercutting everyone on the brand new M5 MacBook Pro lineup just so you’ll buy your new machine there. And hey, if you don’t have gear to trade in for one, and are looking to score one right now, you might as well save the $15 or $20 right? Maybe not.
So Amazon is now offering a few of the new M5 MacBook Pro configurations at slightly below the list prices. Obviously if you have a machine to trade-in you’ll get a much better deal that way, just as we detailed previously. But if you don’t, Amazon has now undercut the list prices you’ll find just about anywhere else:
- M5 MacBook Pro 16GB/512GB $1,584 (Reg. $1,599)
- M5 MacBook Pro 16GB/1TB $1,779 (Reg. $1,799)
- M5 MacBook Pro 24GB/1TB $1,999
As you can see above, the two more affordable configurations at Amazon are the ones seeing the light discounts – one direct from Amazon and one from the trusted authorized dealer Expercom.
Here’s the thing though – Black Friday is right around the corner and, unless you must have one right now, it might be (is almost certainly) smarter to hold off. These machines might see $50, or $100 or more price drops in the coming weeks and that is a whole lot better than what we are seeing right now at Amazon. These light deals are clearly just to entice folks jumping in now to get them at Amazon, but if the M5 is anything like last year’s M4 release in October, these machines could be $150 or more off within the month – hold off if you can.
