This morning we’ve already gotten LEGO revealing its upcoming Tropical Aquarium set, and following right in the tracks of last week’s three Batmobile reveals, the LEGO Group is now ripping the cover off another pop-culture vehicle, the 77256 Speed Champions Time Machine from Back to the Future set. It’s not only available for preorder directly from LEGO, but also over at Amazon too, all ahead of its 2026 launch. If you’re a fan of the famous pop-culture franchise, you can already guess what kind of features will be included, like a transforming design, for example. Head below to learn more about what to expect and check out the collected photos.
LEGO’s new 77256 Time Machine from Back to the Future set will certainly have fans shouting out “Great Scott!” as the fictional car (which has seen counterparts in other themes) joins the Speed Champions lineup, which fans have been anticipating for some time. It will officially hit shelves January 1, 2025 with a $27.99 price tag, and as I mentioned, its available for preorder both direct from LEGO and also from Amazon.

While the design doesn’t quite capture the curved beauty of the actual DeLorean, it’s still likely to be popular amongst fans of the theme and the franchise, with it even coming with Marty McFly and Doc Brown minifigures to complete the package. Another missing element is the car’s iconic gull-wing doors; with this design instead using a canopy brick in their place, which can’t really be faulted for the smaller scale and lower price here. One fun element from the movies that has been included is the DeLorean’s transformation from street to flying, which means this is the theme’s first 2-in-1 vehicle.
