Today, as part of Amazon’s live 2025 device reveal event, Ring has unveiled its first-ever 4K cameras (and two 2K cameras) supported by AI for even more advanced security around your home. This is the most advanced lineup from the brand to date, with seven new models to choose from and AI support that helps to reunite lost pets with their loving families. These new devices capture critical details with precision, as the brand puts it: with “videos that look closer to what your eyes can naturally see.” Head below to learn more about this new generation of security devices.
Ring’s new 4K lineup introduces Retinal Vision
The new Ring Retinal Vision is just about capturing video, instead focusing on the optimization of every single step in the imaging process, complete with AI tuning. You’re not just getting sharper clarity here, but getting crisper clarity that more closely aligns with reality.
There’s 10x zoom alongside low-light performance, with the Retinal 2K and 4K devices giving you every detail of what it’s seeing, even during the most challenging hours or with challenging weather conditions. This new feature captures what’s there and brings it to life.

Ring’s Search Party feature finds lost dogs
As previously mentioned, Ring is also bringing AI support to reuniting families with pets, as these new models sport a community feature called Search Party. So how does it work? Well, when a neighbor reports any lost dog in the Ring app, nearby outdoor Ring cameras will automatically activate the Search Party feature. It utilizes the AI to look for possible matches, with the cameras notifying owners when a missing dog is spotted. It will then show the lost pup’s picture alongside relevant footage. Of course, privacy is still within your control, as you can choose to ignore alerts or share any info with your neighbors.

Ring’s new AI support also extends with Alexa+
With AI being such a major focal point of these new models, you’ll also be able to unlock new ways for it to act on your behalf with the included Alexa+ support. One such support feature is the Alexa+ Greetings, which allows Alexa to become your smart doorbell attendant. If you’re one prone to shyness or nervousness, for example, Alexa+ can talk to solicitors to ask for the purpose of their visit, while also managing deliveries, provide instructions, and more.
And to take this feature to higher heights, there’s also the Familiar Faces inclusion that can recognize people and provide peace of mind to users, allowing for the reduction of notifications triggered by routine activities around the home.
