With the clock having officially ticked us over into October, LEGO is releasing its next wave of new building sets, including the much-buzzed-about Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star set that is definitely taking center stage for folks able to shell out the hefty $999.99 price tag. This new set has been carrying three titles since it was revealed at the top of September: LEGO’s largest build to date, as well as the most expensive build, and the most accompanying minifigure collection. What’s more, picking this set up in the first week of its release will also net you an exclusive GWP (more on that below the fold).
The new LEGO Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star set is MASSIVE, to say the least – which definitely shows in the three “largest titles” that it carries, as I previously mentioned. Stacking up to 9,023 pieces, when all is done and built, it stands at 27.5 inches tall by 31 inches wide, and can break down into segments showcasing the many different rooms featured in the films. You’ll find areas like the detention block, the trash compactor, the meeting room, the Emperor’s Throne Room, and much more peppered in throughout the build, letting you relive your favorite movie moments while also giving you expansive freedom to create your own stories.
Of course, there’s also the lager-than-ever collection of minifigures included in this set too, with 38 in total. You’ll be getting three different versions of Luke Skywalker (Tatooine farmer, stormtrooper disguise, and the iconic ROTJ Jedi Knight outfit), as well as two Han Solos (classic fit and stormtrooper), Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Emperor Palpatine, Orson Krennic and Galen Erso, Admiral Wulff Yularen, Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Imperial Dignitary, R3-T6, a 5D6-RA-7 protocol droid, six Stormtroopers, two Royal Guards, Shuttle Pilot, two Crew Members, two Gunners, two Death Star Troopers, an Imperial Naval Officer, and the debut of the Hot Tub Stormtrooper from the LEGO video games.
Lastly, don’t forget about the 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Rack Hangar GWP set that you’ll get with your purchase through October 7, which only adds to the comprehensive main build – though keep in mind that it’s only available as long as supplies last.
