Xbox reveals Forza Horizon 6 at TGS with new teaser trailer, 2026 release date, Japan setting, more

The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast delivered a series of new updates and add-on content coming to some major releases, but the headliner announcement was the reveal of Forza Horizon 6.

Forza Horizon 6 comes to Japan in 2026

During today’s Xbox TGS showcase, a brief teaser trailer for the new Forza Horizon 6 was revealed. The aptly-timed announcement revealed the game will finally be coming to Japan – the teaser trailer, which it very much is, eventually lands on a gorgeous landscape centered by Mount Fuji.

Phil Spencer teased the new Forza game back in June, most folks basically assumed it would be the new Forza experience, and now we have official confirmation.

The teaser trailer was a brief one that didn’t give us much more than the highly-anticipated new setting, a brief look at some trinkets and racing  paraphernalia, and the release window – Forza Horizon 6 is indeed coming in 2026.

And after the current game did so well elsewhere, Microsoft has decided Forza Horizon 6 will not only landed on Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC, but also on “PlayStation 5 post-launch.”

Forza Horizon 6 closed the show by announcing that the beloved open world racing series will return in 2026, this time taking players to the breathtaking landscapes of Japan. A teaser trailer gave us callbacks to each of the previous games, before giving us a taste of the gorgeous new world we’ll be exploring – with Mount Fuji dominating a landscape that includes serene waters and urban environments, as cherry blossoms flutter on the breeze.
