Over the weekend we caught a bunch of early launch discounts on some of Apple’s latest releases, not the least of which was its brand new AirPods Pro 3. Just after the first deliveries of iPhone 17 and iPhone Air models landed across the country, Amazon started to get aggressive with early discounts on some of the more sought-after accessories for the new handsets, including the first deal on the new AirPods Pro 3, price drops across the entire Apple case collection for iPhone 17, 17 Pro/Max, and iPhone Air, as well as its new MagSafe wallet colors.
Needless to say, the most notable of these deals landed on the new pro-grade AirPods. Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 were some of the best-selling items among gadgetnewsonline readers in 2024 across all categories, and those looking to upgrade in the early days to the new models will want to scope out Amazon’s early deal:
AirPods Pro 3 $239 (Reg. $249)
It’s not a massive discount, but you might as well save the cash if you’re looking to land a set this week. The Prime Big Deals Days sale is right around the corner now in early October, but it is very much hard to say if we will see prices drop lower than this.
We are very much expecting to see discounts on just about all Apple gear to some degree, much more so on the already available stuff – M4 MacBook Air, Pro, and mini, as well as the current slate of iPad models (just about all of this is in fact already on sale right now), and perhaps even some of the previous-generation AirPods. Whether or not the new AirPods Pro 3 are included in the festivities is entirely up in the air – we might just see Amazon start to clear out previous models back at all-time low prices the way we have seen Costco begin to do so, but we can’t know for sure.
But again, with “the world’s best active noise cancellation,” a new and improved in-ear fit, and the all-new heart rate sensing functionality, anyone looking to score a set of AirPods Pro 3 right at launch here will get the best price straight from Amazon – there are some member only offers at Best Buy and the like, but as far as straight up cash discounts, Amazon is where it’s at.
