Amazon has now officially announced the next massive Prime Day sale event. Amazon took to its official news feed this morning to reveal’s this year’s fall Prime Day event, officially known as Prime Big Deal Days, to prime shoppers for the next chance at massive savings from the biggest online retailer. But you’ll want to watch out for those so called “early deals” floating around.
Every year, or more like twice a year now, Amazon officially announces the next big Prime member savings event. They actually are very notable sale events that give shoppers a chance to save hundreds, and even thousands, on everything from small household essentials, gear to ready you for the holidays, smart TVs, and big ticket tech from Apple, Google, Samsung and others. But these announcements always come along with the mention of early deals.
There are indeed some early deals live, but you do not want to just go head over to the Amazon home page and hit the Prime Big Deal Days banner – there are thousands of “deals” on that page waiting for you, but they are not the actual “early” deals they might seem to be.
The discounts you see on that page are by and large the same deals you saw on the home page yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that. Don’t be fooled.
There are some wonderful deals live on Amazon right now – we have curated hundreds of them this week already, this morning included. But we are extremely particular about saving you money and uncovering price drops that are actually worth your time – we work day in and day out determining what is a deal and what isn’t and there are ton of so called “deals” on the early Prime Big Deal Days that very much aren’t.
Stick to the gadgetnewsonline home page and social feeds for the deals on Amazon that are actually deals – a ton of the gear you find on the Prime Big Deal Days page will be even lower come early October when the actual event kicks off on October 7, 2025.
There are some other caveats to consider, just not quite yet. One of the most glaring is on Amazon’s in-house tech. If the last number of years, and the July Prime Day sale event, are any indication, its in-house tech will start to go on sale well ahead of the event’s start time. We have uncovered some notable deals on Amazon tech within $5 or $10 of the best prices ever over the least couple days, but we are also specifically stating as much, and there is a chance that this gear gets much lower in the coming weeks.
Watch out for Amazon’s in house Echo and Fire tech start to drop as much as two weeks ahead of the main event, if not a weekend or two before hand.
