September has been quite the month of surprises for LEGO fans, as the first days have brought us several new building sets that folks have been giddy to get ahold of, followed by the confirmation of the previously leaked SEGA Genesis Controller set. Today, however, is giving us some of the biggest brick-built news to date – figuratively and literally – as The LEGO Group officially introduces its upcoming Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star set that you won’t have to wait long to get hold of – and it’s coming with a GWP for those picking it up in the first days of it hitting the market. Head below to learn more and check out the photos we’ve collected of this exciting new release.
LEGO’s new Star Wars 75419 UCS Death Star set is an absolutely massive model – the biggest we’ve seen from the brick-built company – as it stacks up to 9,023 pieces in all, and the price tag is definitely reflecting that with an equally massive cost. It’ll be hitting the market for LEGO Insiders on October 1, 2025, carrying a $999.99 price tag, which also adds the title of most expensive set to its belt. If you plan to pick it up at launch, you’ll also be getting the exclusive 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack GWP set.
There is so much to cover with this set, starting with the exact size that ends at 27.5 inches tall by 31 inches wide, which obviously comes apart to reveal a jam-packed cross-section of many different rooms that were prominently featured in the films. What’s more, you’d expect plenty of minifigures to fill the space, and LEGO is not disappointing there, as it comes with 38 minifigures – adding yet another title to the list as this is the most we’ve ever seen put into one set.

There’s three variations of Luke Skywalker (Tatooine, Stormtrooper, and ROTJ Jedi Knight), two Han Solos (classic fit and stormtrooper), Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Emperor Palpatine, Orson Krennic and Galen Erso, Admiral Wulff Yularen, Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Imperial Dignitary, R3-T6, a 5D6-RA-7 protocol droid, six Stormtroopers, two Royal Guards, Shuttle Pilot, two Crew Members, two Gunners, two Death Star Troopers, an Imperial Naval Officer, and the debut of the Hot Tub Stormtrooper from the LEGO video games.

Of course, all the most iconic rooms/spaces in the Death Star from the various films have been given their place amongst the massive model. There’s the detention block, the trash compactor, the meeting room, the Emperor’s Throne Room, and so much more – allowing you to recreate and relive in your favorite movie moments to your heart’s content.
