Nintendo reveals next N64 Switch Online release

Nintendo has been on a bit of a roll when it comes to adding to new titles to its classic game libraries for Switch Online members, and the next one has now been revealed. Just after Chibi-Robo! landed in the GameCube library for Switch 2 owners with a membership, it has now announced FORSAKEN 64 for the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics collection.

FORSAKEN 64 comes to Switch Online

With the introduction of the new GameCube Switch Online library for Switch 2 owners, it feels like Nintendo has been bringing new Classics at quite a steady pace ever since. First we saw Super Mario Strikers and the Mario Paint SNES game, that happens to be a great title for Switch 2 mouse mode as well as Chibi-Robo less than two weeks ago, and now it’s time for a new N64 game.

FORSAKEN 64 originally debuted back in 1998. It is a first-person shooter developed for Windows and PlayStation that was ported Nintendo 64 shortly thereafter.

Players take on the role of a “ruthless mercenary” sent to the remains of Earth on a covert mission to “infiltrate and destroy the last bastions of the mechanized terror that wiped out all life on the planet.”

Earth is a death trap riddled with merciless mechanoid adversaries and gangs of rival bounty hunters, and you’ll have to brave them all astride your anti-grav pioncycle to make your fortune…or meet your doom. Choose between different modes in this first-person shooter title released for the Nintendo 64™ system in 1998, and enter the fight in Single Player Mode or Multi-Player Mode. Then, select your bike. Each bike has different attributes, each biker a different attitude. Pick one that suits your style, then dive into your mission. The availability of weapons, enemies, and powerups changes depending on the level you play, so stay sharp!

FORSAKEN will be available to play for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members as part of the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics: Mature collection starting on September 4, 2025.

The game was spotted as part of previous leak of sorts that had players (thus far) correctly deducing a series of blurry box art images found on the Nintendo 64 Classics app that might also include Donkey Kong 64 and Rayman 2.
