LEGO unfurls the sails on its upcoming Icons Captain Jack’s Pirate Ship set (Black Pearl) complete with eight minifigures

The new summer LEGO reveals just keep coming, and now, a few days after we got the announcement of the new Ideas 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory set, we’re getting another movie staple in the form of LEGO’s new Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship. Putting aside the missed opportunity to name it for what it is – The Black Pearl – this is a highly detailed rendition of the iconic ship and comes with plenty of characters you’d expect to populate it. Head below to learn more about this upcoming build and check out the collected photos.

“Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me,” – and run credits with that beautiful Hans Zimmer soundtrack! It only seems appropriate for this massive reveal that I’m sure Disney and pirate fans alike will be excited to get their hands on in the coming month. As I already mentioned, it is a bit weird that LEGO went with the name of 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship over The Black Pearl, which is not only one of the best ship names in pop culture, but much more recognizable, in my opinion. Regardless, it’s coming as a much more ambitious build than 2011’s 4184 The Black Pearl set.

It stacks up to 2,862 pieces in all, and gives fans another opportunity to set sail on the high seas under the flag of the enigmatic Jack Sparrow – does he plan things out or just make things up as he goes? Who’s to say? What can be said is that it will be hitting the market on September 12, 2025 for LEGO Insiders at $379.99 shipped, with general release scheduled a few days after. What’s more, it seems LEGO will be offering a special GWP in the form of Jack’s compass for an unspecified period during its initial launch.

It’s going to be quite the massive ship, measuring in at 25 inches tall and 25 inches long, with plenty of ominous character thanks to the black hull and sails. It’s also coming with far more interactive features than its 2011 predecessor, including deployable cannons via a rotatable dial, a connected wheel and rudder system, and more. The hull even splits at the waterline so you could display it as if it were sailing, with there otherwise being a display stand.

And of course, what would such an iconic ship be without plenty of characters/crew to sail it? The 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship set will be coming along with eight minifigures of Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, Marty, Elizabeth Swann and Captain (and future Commodore) Barbossa. Another missed opportunity that I’m sure fans have noticed immediately is the missing dynamic duo of Pintel and Ragetti.
