Just after hosting its first major Direct Partner Showcase of the Switch 2 era, Nintendo has now officially announced when the next IndieWorld Showcase will go live. The livestream is set to give us a look at what’s next for Switch 1 and Switch 2 from the indie side of things and it goes live this week.

Nintendo officially announces Switch 2 IndieWorld show case for this week

Nintendo has now taken to its official X feed (and issued an official press alert) announcing the next IndieWorld Showcase:

Join us this Thursday, August 7 at 6 a.m. PT for a new Indie World Showcase! Tune in for roughly 15 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

As you can see from the official statement above, we are in for 15 straight minutes of updates and new game announcements for Switch and Switch 2 in just 2 days time.

The Nintendo show will go live in its usual time slot at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET on August 7 and we will be here to follow along with you.

I’m just going to say what I think everyone is already thinking, and this might actually be the first proper reveal of the long-awaited, much anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong for Nintendo Switch 2. We have already caught glimpses of the game recently elsewhere, but I think everyone is hoping for a new trailer and and official release date on Switch 2 this Tuesday at the latest Nintendo IndieWorld Showcase.
