The ‘world’s first third-party controller’ with Switch 2 wake-up support costs $30

Today we are taking a look at an alternative to the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, and a far more affordable option. The official Switch 2 Pro Controller has been a hit thus far, and one of the most popular Switch 2 peripherals to hit the market yet. While that’s not particularly surprising, there are some compelling lower-cost alternatives out there you don’t have to pay $85 for, and this new $30 GuliKit gamepad that can wake the Switch 2 is one of them.

It’s totally understandable why Nintendo’s in-house pro gamepad has been a popular one – the last-gen model was and everyone just assumed the new one would be better so they scooped one up along with the new console. While the Nintendo Pro Controller is now readily available and in-stock at Amazon, let’s take a look at a $30 alternative that might be an even better option.

While there’s a lot to be said for the way a controller feels in your hands, and it might be hard to imagine how this almost SEGA Saturn-like GuliKit one will work for you in that regard, it does have a lot going for it at $30, and it has a couple things going for it the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller does not – a pair of anti-drift Hall effect joysticks.

Engineered with GuliKit leading-edge Hall Effect electromagnetic thumbsticks,anti-friction stick ring, this gamepad delivers anti-drift durability and exceptional 2200-level high precision control.

Another particularly interesting aspect of the GuliKit proposition here is its ability to wake up the Switch 2 – almost no other third-party controller can do this, and in fact none of the models we have tried or have even heard of can do that. It is one of the common complaints we hear and have ourselves with third-party gamepads.

The GuliKit Elves 2 Bluetooth Game Controller works with Switch, Switch 2, Windows setups, Steam Deck, ROG Ally/X handhelds, iOS, and Android for a multi-platform solution, adding even more value to the already affordable $30 price tag.

You’ll now find the new GuliKit Elves 2 Switch 2 controller up for grabs in black or a coral colorway on Amazon for $29.99 shipped
