Come watch today’s July 2025 Nintendo Direct – 25 minutes of updates and reveals on Switch 2 games

Nintendo Direct goes live today with the first major Partner Showcase of the Switch 2 generation, and you can watch it down below. There have been rumors abound for months on end for upcoming Microsoft Xbox titles coming to the platform, plenty of Ubisoft games, and chances are we will get some updates on those here today. Release dates for already confirmed Switch 2 ports like Elden Ring and the FF VII remake seem likely and we have heard word of Metaphor: ReFantazio and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut ports as well. But enough with the speculation (for now), as the show is set to go live very soon!

Nintendo Direct – July 2025

Rumors regarding the now confirmed Nintendo Direct have been surfacing for at least month in any major way, but not many of them mentioned anything about a Partner Showcase. This left most of the big-time rumors and leaks pointing at what now seems like the September Direct when Nintendo is expected to show off what’s next on the first-party game slate.

That said, there are loads of major third-party AAA experiences rumored to be landing on the platform and many of them are likely to get confirmed here in today’s Direct presentation. We of course don’t know for sure, and Nintendo could have some tricks up its sleeve still, but it won’t be long before we find out for sure now.

The show kicks off a 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET and you can watch it along with us down below:

When is the next Nintendo Direct?

Today! The next Nintendo Direct is set to go live today – July 31, 2025 – at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET.

What is going to be in the next Nintendo Direct?

Well, we don’t know of course, but we do know it is going to be a third-party focused Partner Showcase and likely to confirm much of the rumored games coming from major publishers like Ubisoft, Activision, and several others. Something for the Call of Duty franchises seems likely, as well as some of the latest Assassin’s Creed experiences, Hades 2, maybe even Red Dead Redemption 2, and perhaps even something about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Metaphor: ReFantazio. Microsoft is also expected to be present with titles like Sea of Thieves, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and others.

Our complete breakdown of rumored and leaked titles awaits right here

Will there be any Nintendo games at today’s Nintendo Direct?

It’s hard to say for sure, but it’s not likely. Rumors pinned the new Switch 2 Animal Crossing game as the headliner reveal to end the show, but some lines might have got crossed there – this one might be for an upcoming Direct in September. This is a Partner Showcase and not likely to feature any Nintendo games at all, but we can all hope.
