Microsoft’s originally $1,600 touchscreen Surface Laptop 7 with Snapdragon X Elite is down to $999 today

We are now tracking a deal at Amazon that drops Microsoft’s Surface Laptop with a Snapdragon X Elite chip down to $999 shipped. That’s straight up a $601 discount on the $1,600 sticker price of this machine that comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. It briefly dropped to $899 at B&H during a limited-time offer earlier this year in February, but it’s mostly been selling for around $1,300 since then. The Surface Laptop 7 Copilot+ PC currently on sale is powered by Qualcomm’s 12-core Snapdragon X Elite chip, and it comes packed with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It sports a 13.8-inch PixelSense Flow display with 2304 x 1536 resolution and support for touch inputs, and it also has a dedicated 45TOPS NPU to power through Microsoft’s Copilot+ features. While you can get a relatively newer model of this machine with a slightly more compact form factor, this still stands out as a premium notebooks with a thin and light aluminum chassis, support for Wi-Fi 7, and more.

If you’re looking for a relatively affordable alternative, ASUS’ Vivobook 14 Flip Copilot+ PC is worth considering at $850 low. It’s powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 5 226V Lunar Lake chip with an 8-core CPU, and is down from its usual price of $1,000.
