Microsoft has quietly released a very limited batch of its special Smurface Edition Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC on Amazon for $999.99 shipped. The brand has quietly rolled this out without much fanfare, and you might want to jump in and snag one before they sell out. The listing says “only 100 units” of these Smurface Edition notebooks are up for grabs, so be sure to grab one to be among the very limited number of folks to have one of these. You are looking at a limited edition model of the brand’s 2025 Surface Laptop that we’ve featured a lot around here. This particular model comes with laser-etched Smurfs on the lid along with a Smurf blue Microsoft logo. This is easily the rarest Surface notebook to hit the shelves. It’s also exclusive to Amazon, so it’s likely to go quick. This variant of the laptop, in case you’re wondering, is in collaboration with the new Smurfs movie that landed in cinemas just a few days back.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Smurface Edition is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus SoC along with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It’s based on the 13-inch model that debuted earlier this year, so you’ll get a 13.8-inch display on it with a 3:2 aspect ratio for more vertical screen space. The standard version of this laptop is currently going for $789 shipped, which is within $30 of its all-time low price from the Prime Day sale from earlier this month.
Microsoft may have timed this perfectly, as the release has landed on Amazon just as people are shopping for new laptops ahead of the back-to-school season. It’s one of the more compact notebooks in the brand’s Surface laptop lineup, making it a great choice for students and even folks who want to travel light with a compact laptop.
