UGREEN debuts ‘world’s first Qi2.2-certified’ 25W power bank, the only one that can keep up with Apple’s updated MagSafe charger speeds

Apple’s updated MagSafe charger, introduced alongside the iPhone 16 lineup last year, is currently the only magnetic wireless charger capable of delivering up to 25W of power. That’s about to change, though, as UGREEN has announced the world’s first Qi2.2-certified power bank. According to the brand, its new MagFlow magnetic power bank will also support up to 25W wireless charging – putting it in direct competition with Apple’s latest MagSafe offering. The new charger is expected to launch later this year, and you can find more details about it below.

World’s first Qi2.2-certified 25W power bank now official

UGREEN’s new MagFlow power bank announced today sports a Qi2.2-certified MagSafe charger that can deliver up to 25W of power. This particular unit packs a 10,000mAh battery, which should be enough to fully top up your phone when you are on-the-go. The unit being showcased right now features a built-in USB-C charging cable that doubles as a lanyard when not in use. While it’s not one of the retractable cables we’ve seen on many recent chargers, it still offers enough convenience to carry the device around easily.

The new MagFlow power bank sports an additional Type-C port at the bottom to let you charge two devices simultaneously, and it even has a small display to show you the remaining battery. Other details are sparse at the moment, and all we know for now is that this power bank is slated to arrive sometime later this year. UGREEN hasn’t mentioned anything about its price either, though you can expect it to fetch more than the current crop of Qi2-certified charging units out there.

It’s only a matter of time until we start seeing more Qi2.2-certified gear on the market, replacing everything from power banks, charging stations, and more. It’ll be interesting to see how much of a premium these will fetch over the existing chargers on the market, and we’ll definitely have more to talk about once they’re official.
