Amazon has brought back its all-time low on the most affordable current-generation iPad mini 7 at $399 shipped for the July 4th this year. While did catch some of the deals over the last week already, all colors across the least expensive configuration are now on sale, alongside $100 price drops on the 256GB and 512GB models, not to mention discounts on just about all of the Wi-Fi + Cell variants as well.

While we have seen select configurations with the higher and more expensive storage capacities go for slightly better than the $100 off right now, we are only really talking about $10 less or so at this point and only on select colorways. Anything better than that was locked behind a Costco membership fee and things of that nature.

As for the most affordable 128GB model, today’s $399 discounted price is as good as it has gotten on Amazon (or anywhere else online outside of YMMV deals most folks didn’t have a shot at).

As of right now, and likely for the foreseeable future, the entry-level iPad mini 7 with the A17 Pro chip is the absolute most affordable way to land a current-generation iPad that supports Apple Intelligence – you can score the 11-inch iPad A16 at $299, which is a fantastic price for a current iPad, but that one does not support Apple Intelligence features.

iPad mini 7 features:

iPad mini. Built for Apple Intelligence. It’s incredibly portable and powerful, featuring the ultrafast A17 Pro chip, an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, plus superfast Wi-Fi 6E. And it works with Apple Pencil Pro, so you can study, work, play, and create from anywhere. Apple Intelligence is the personal intelligence system that helps you write, express yourself, and get things done effortlessly. With groundbreaking privacy protections, it gives you peace of mind that no one else can access your data—not even Apple. Coming this fall.
