Amazon officially details Prime Day 2025 – Start time, ‘millions’ of upcoming deals, more

We knew it was coming, but Amazon has now officially revealed the dates for Prime Day 2025. The July Prime Day event will take place from July 8 through to July 11. Amazon is taking things up a notch this year, expanding the usual 2-day event to four with “millions of deals” and a new “Today’s Big Deals” feature with a rotating series of deals from “from top brands like Samsung, Kiehl’s, and Levi’s.” All of the details are down below.

When is Prime Day 2025?

Amazon has now officially revealed that the first Prime Day event will start on July 8 and run through until July 11. This is the first time Amazon has expanded its Prime Day event from the usual 48 hours of savings to a full 4 day event.

I thought Prime Day was in October

Well, you’re not wrong. There are two Prime Day events each year as of late. Traditionally Amazon has a major summer Prime Day event in July and another in October, roughly a month before Black Friday.

Is Prime Day only for Prime members?

Yes, for the most part. There will be some deals on Amazon non-Prime members will be able to take advantage of, but the best and deepest discounts are only available to Prime members.

“Remember, you’ll need a Prime membership to shop all the deals coming up on Prime Day. If you haven’t already, sign up for savings, convenience, and entertainment in one single membership. More than 200 million paid Prime members around the world enjoy access to Amazon’s enormous selection, exceptional value, and fast delivery.”

How much does a Prime membership cost and do I sign up for Prime?

Anyone can indeed sign up for a Prime membership ahead of Prime Day. It costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year, or kick-off a free 30-day trial if eligible right here

What is on sale for Prime Day 2025?

Literally “millions” of items spanning just about every product category – Apple, Samsung, home goods, TVs, PC gaming gear, and more across “more than 35 categories including electronics, kitchen, beauty, and apparel.” On top of that you will find “school tech starting at $15 and save up to 40% off school supplies,” as well as “early deals on Amazon Essentials and Amazon Basics, including $20 off a $100+ purchase of curated “Build Your Dorm” essentials and back to school styles starting at $10.”

Is Prime Day only available in the U.S.?

No, Prime Day is an international event. The 2025 July event will go live in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S., and the UK. Amazon says the 2025 event will also take place in Ireland on amazon.ie and in Colombia on amazon.com.
