Over the weekend we reported that first-party Switch 2 game listings are now finally live on Amazon, and it very much looks like the Switch 2  + Mario Kart World bundle could go live at any minute now. You will now find a proper Amazon listing for the new Switch 2 bundle – it is still listed as “Currently unavailable,” but it looks like Amazon will indeed have Switch 2 for sale after all.

Amazon was essentially the only major retailer who didn’t participate in U.S. pre-orders or even the launch day for Nintendo’s record-breaking new next-generation console.

Amazon and Nintendo have had an off relationship over the last couple years – Amazon doesn’t typically have first-party listings for Nintendo gear, outside of those from third-party seller…until it does. There were times over the last year or so when Amazon would all of the sudden have some actual Switch gear and games in stock, but that hasn’t really been the case this year until we spotted it selling some of the new Switch 2 games over the weekend – you’ll find these below:

Fast-forward to today, and we have now spotted a listing for the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle ready and waiting over on Amazon. It appears as though this listing could go live at any time now, but it is still unclear.

This could just be a third-party seller readying units to be sold on Amazon, as opposed to Amazon selling the console itself. But this is the first actual indication that Amazon might actually sell, at least some, Switch 2 consoles at some point. It did offer pre-orders of the console up in Canada, but nothing here in the U.S.

We will be monitoring this listing closely today and throughout the week in case it does actually go live at some point, so stay locked to our social feeds.

While I think the entire internet sort of assumed Amazon wouldn’t let the other retailers have all the Switch 2 fun, that was hopeful at best considering the relationship between the two companies as of late. But with this new listing seemingly about to go live, that might all change sooner than later.
