While Best Buy, Target, and GameStop have all now confirmed more Switch 2 units will be in-stock for launch day (and potentially online the following day on June 6), Nintendo is going to offer its new console and accessories directly too. It has announced that its two flagship stores in New York City and the recently launched location in San Francisco will also be selling Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, software and accessories, and not just on launch day.
As most Nintendo fans will already know, the flagship brick and mortar location is in New York City, and, as we recently reported, it has also launched a new location down in San Francisco – if you’re going to be, or want to be in either of these places from June 5 to June 9, there is a chance to get invited to attend the official Switch 2 launch where Nintendo will be selling consoles, games and accessories for its next-gen machine.
Now, as I’m sure you’re imagining, it’s not going to be easy to get it, but there is a chance and Nintendo will be selecting thousands of individuals to come experience the stores and score a Switch 2.
It works like this: You’ll need a Warp Pipe Pass reservation to attend a Nintendo NEW YORK or SAN FRANCISCO – Nintendo Switch 2 Shopping Session and purchase Nintendo Switch 2 products.
Nintendo will be accepting registrations for a Warp Pipe Pass starting today at 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET.

This will be a random drawing of sorts, where only lucky registrants will get a chance to attend the special Shopping session. These sessions will take place at both store locations across several days, each with a limited allotment of attendees (it looks like about 5,000 individuals will be chosen.
These are the attendee details – keep in mind Nintendo lists these numbers for both store locations:
- June 5, 2025: 600 attendees will be selected in a Drawing for this Shopping Session
- June 6, 2025: 650 attendees will be selected in a Drawing for this Shopping Session
- June 7, 2025: 650 attendees will be selected in a Drawing for this Shopping Session
- June 8, 2025: 500 attendees will be selected in a Drawing for this Shopping Session
- June 9, 2025: 100 attendees will be selected in a Drawing for this Shopping Session
A quick browse through the fine print yields some additional details on what, if you’re selected to attend, you’ll actually be able to buy (all pretty standard and expected stuff here):
- Purchase either one Nintendo Switch 2 system or one Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle
- Purchase of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, games and amiibo are limited to one of each per Pass holder.
- All products are available while supplies last.
