8Bitdo just unleashed new all-button low-profile wireless arcade controllers with mechanical switches for Switch, Xbox, and PC

After days of teasing, 8Bitdo has officially unveiled its new all-button arcade controllers. The company has introduced two versions: one compatible with the Nintendo Switch and PC, and an officially licensed Xbox Edition designed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows. Both models are now available for pre-order on Amazon starting at $89.99 shipped, with a release date scheduled for July 15. These listings also fall under the Amazon pre-order Guarantee, meaning you’ll be charged the lowest price if they fall to a lower price between now and release. 8Bitdo Arcade controller with stick

Unlike its existing arcade controller with a stick, this one’s an all-button model with as many as 16 keys including four programmable ones with fast mapping. The new all-button arcade model has a low-profile design to maintain a slim form factor, and it comes fitted with low-profile mechanical switches installed on a hot-swappable PCB. 8Bitdo, as previously mentioned, has unleashed two different variants – one compatible with the Switch and Windows alongside an officially licensed model compatible with Xbox consoles and PC. The Xbox edition is an all-black model with RGB lighting. This one only comes with two programmable keys instead of four, and it has an Xbox logo at the top as well.

This all-button arcade controller, according to the brand, is designed for pros with features like SOCD cleaning and tournament lock. 8Bitdo has also mentioned 4ms wired latency specifically for the Xbox version, but they both have support for the 8Bitdo Ultimate Software V2 for customization. Other noteworthy features of these new all-button arcade controllers include an ultra-thin and compact form factor – just 1.6 cm thick with a footprint nearly the size of an A4 sheet – along with tri-mode connectivity via Bluetooth, a 2.4GHz dongle, a wired Type-C port, and more.

8Bitdo’s new all-button arcade gamepads are now up for pre-orders and they start shipping on July 15. The Switch and PC-compatible model is priced at $89.99 shipped whereas the officially licensed Xbox variant will set you back $99.99 shipped.
