Sandisk just unleashed the new WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD with cutting-edge PCIe Gen 5.0 technology, which it says is the world’s fastest PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe SSD on the market. This sleek storage drive is said to deliver read speeds up to 14,900MB/s and capacities up to 4TB (8TB coming later this year), making it a great option to consider if you’re looking to upgrade your battlestation or working setup for gaming, content creation, and more. Sandisk’s latest WD_BLACK SN8100 now up for grabs

The new SN8100, according to the brand, is designed to deliver top-tier performance with double the speed of Sandisk’s previous Gen 4.0 drives, all while being “100% more power-efficient.” These new drives are powered by advanced BiCS8 TLC 3D NAND, the drive also offers optimized thermal performance, meaning no noisy fans or clunky cooling systems required. There is, however, a heatsink version planned for this SSD as well for those who like a little flair with customizable RGB lighting, though it’s said to arrive later this fall.

Amazon also has a pre-order listing for the 4TB model at $549.99 shipped, and it’s said to arrive next month. The prices for the heatsink versions will range from $199.99 to $569.99 shipped once they’re available to purchase.
