Heybike’s ALPHA all-terrain e-bike with the brand’s first mid-drive motor returns to $1,499 low in flash sale

Heybike is offering a special flash promotional sale on its latest ALPHA All-Terrain Mid-Drive e-bike through May 23 that drops the price down to $1,499 shipped. This new model was just released back in February, with most of the discounts we’ve seen in the time since dropping costs from its full $1,699 rate by $100, though we did first see it dropping to this same price last month for Easter. The brand is giving folks another opportunity to grab it at the lowest price we have tracked, saving you $200 in the process and equipping your journeys with a solid all-terrain option.

The first of Heybike’s lineup to offer the new 500W Mivice mid-drive motor, the ALPHA e-bike comes powered by a 680Wh battery, carrying you up to 60 miles across any terrain when its five pedal assist levels are utilized, which also come supported by a torque sensor for a more effortless pick-up and hill climbing capabilities. Topping off at 28 MPH if your state allows such speeds, you’ll otherwise be able to reach 20 MPH during your cruising, with a throttle available to ride off electric power only, though this does limit mileage and comes with a safety feature where you’ll have to get it going first with some pedaling.

The mid-drive motor also lends to a more balanced weight distribution, with the entire thing weighing in under a manageable 72 pounds – plus, it sports a 400-pound overall payload. It’s a more budget-friendly solution compared to many other mid-drive models on the market, but also comes with a nice lineup of features for the price. There’s the hydraulic front suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes, 4-inch puncture-protected fat tires, a Shimano Altus 8-speed derailleur, an integrated rear cargo rack, an auto-on headlight and brake-lighting taillight, and an LCD for settings (which can be synced through its companion app).

Of course, if you’re not planning to venture off-road or climbing much terrain, with your journeys sticking to even and flat roads, you can save quite a bit more money going with the brand’s Mars 2.0 e-bike for $999 shipped right now, which is down from its usual $1,499 tag. It has a folding design that makes it better at space-saving and transporting when not in use, and offers some solid features along with a 45-mile travel range at up to 28 MPH speeds, with the option to upgrade from a 750W to 1,000W motor for increased speeds up to 32 MPH.
