Amazon undercuts Google Store deal on unlocked 256GB Pixel 9 at $649 ($250 off), or open-box at $347 off

Over the weekend Google launched its 2025 Mother’s Day sale on the official Google Store, as we detailed at 9to5Google, featuring deals across its latest lineup of Pixel tech. The deals, which include the entire Pixel 9 lineup, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Buds Pro 2, among others, is also live at Amazon and Best Buy as detailed right here. But we wanted to touch down this morning to highlight one particular deal on the unlocked 256GB Pixel 9 smartphone, as Amazon and Best Buy are now undercutting the official Google Store price drops by $50. Details below. 

When the Mother’s Day sale went live yesterday morning at the Google Store, we were just starting to see select colors of the 256GB Pixel 9 going for less at Amazon. But now you’ll find the Obsidian, Porcelain, and Wintergreen variants down at $649 shipped. Regularly $899, this is $250 off, or nearly 30% under the list price to undercut the official Google Store price by $50 and deliver the lowest price we can find. 

While we did see some wild deals on select Pixel 9 configurations over at Target across the last couple months, it is not matching the other retailers on the Pixel 9 and appears as though it is no longer offering the 256GB configuration at all. 

Beyond that, we have tracked select colorways of this 256GB model for less in the past at Amazon, but those were almost all incredibly short-lived offers that sold out quite quickly during the Black Friday and holiday festivities.

The only option we can find for less than the $649 deal detailed above from a reputable source is the Best Buy open-box units. Coming in “excellent” condition with a 1-year warranty, you’ll now find the 256GB unlocked Pixel 9 at $551.99 shipped, or $347 off the going rate.
