Is Walmart open today? Is Target closed for Easter Monday? Is Costco open on Easter Monday? The short answer is yes, just about all major retail chains are open today for what many refer to as Easter Monday. Unlike yesterday where we did see a number of store closures, reduced hours, and so forth, Easter Monday is not a proper federal holiday and leaves just about all major retailers, banks, and so forth open for business. 

What stores are open and closed on Easter Monday?

Again, Easter Monday store closures aren’t nearly as expansive as they were yesterday. Just about all Walmart, Target, and Best Buy locations are open and operating as normal. Some reports suggest Costco, despite being open, might be operating different hours for Easter Monday at select locations. 

As per usual with these sorts of non-federal holidays, it might be a good idea to call ahead to your nearby locations, at the very least, to check to make sure the hours of operation are indeed the same as what you usually expect on a typical Monday. 

The short-form takeaway is that we aren’t seeing just about any nationwide store closures for Easter Monday 2025 this year. Local schools and select local business are, of course, a bit of a different story. You’ll want to make sure before heading out and you likely already know if your local school is closed or not at this point.

Yes, Best Buy is open for business today and appears to operating typical hours.

Yes, Target is open on Easter Monday across the U.S. unlike yesterday.

Is Costco open on Easter Monday?

Yes, Costco warehouse locations are open today. They were closed yesterday for Easter Sunday, but it does appear just about all locations are open today – you will, however, want to call ahead as some have suggested hours my vary from a usual week day. 

Are banks open on Easter Monday?

All reports suggest that all major banks, just about everywhere, will be operating normal hours and are open for business on Easter Monday 2025. This includes Wells Fargo, Citi, Chase, and others. 

Is the Post Office open today?

Yes, the USPS is open and working under normal conditions today – The U.S. Postal Service is also expected to be delivering mail as per usual today.
