Samsung’s 2025 Odyssey gaming monitor now up for pre-order
Samsung is adding three new Odyssey models to its catalog, out of which one of them sports an ultra-wide 49-inch panel. The new lineup is led by the brand’s new Odyssey 3D (G90XF) model which sports a 27-inch display with support for delivering 3D visuals without dedicated glasses. This particular unit is priced at $1,999.99 shipped, and it now comes with a $200 FREE credit and a pair of JBL Quantum ONE headset. It takes advantage of advanced eye-tracking tech and a proprietary lenticular lens to deliver 3D visuals via the Reality Hub app. It’s worth pointing out that not all apps and games support this new feature, but Samsung is said to be working with major game developers “to make the most out of this 3D technology.”

For now, Samsung’s collaborations include:
- Nexon for The First Berserker: Khazan, launching on March 28
- Neowiz for the critically acclaimed Lies of P. The company’s first downloadable content (DLC), Overture, is scheduled for release this summer.
It remains to be seen how this tech will age over time, but it’s refreshing to see something new in the Odyssey lineup. Other highlights of this monitor include a 4K panel with support for up to 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support, and more.

The next on the line is the Odyssey OLED G8 which is said to “feature highest pixel density on a 27-inch screen.” This model is available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes, and the former has 166 pixels per inch, which is “the industry’s highest pixel density for a screen that size.” It starts at $1,299.99 shipped and comes with a FREE $300 credit for a limited time. It is also the “industry’s first 4K monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate,” so this is truly shaping up to be a promising unit. In addition to the high refresh rate and a quick 0.03ms response time support, the new OLED G8’s panel is protected by Samsung OLED Safeguard+, a proprietary dynamic cooling system that uses “the industry-first Pulsating Heat Pipe to diffuse heat five times better than standard graphite sheets, without adjusting brightness.” This one, just like some other Odyssey monitors out there sports a metal chassis and is backed by Core Lighting+ to match the visuals on the screen.

Lastly, Samsung has also introduced a new ultra-wide Odyssey G9 (G91F) with a 49-inch Dual QHD resolution panel. It is the most affordable unit of the bunch at $999.99 shipped, and Samsung will let you have a FREE $300 credit with it as well for a limited time. It features a 1000R curved display for an immersive experience, and it also has support for up to 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Other highlights of this monitor include support for AMD FreeSync technology, VESA DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10+ GAMING certification, Auto Source Switch+ feature, and more.
All three monitors, as previously mentioned are now up for pre-orders. The prices start at $999.99 shipped, and they all come with FREE credits. You’ll also see an additional $50 credit if you reserved the units as a part of the reserve campaign, though the new offers with FREE credits are still worth looking into.
