Amazon is now offering a solid price drop on the premium and particularly wonderful-sounding Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 Wireless Earbuds at $319 shipped. Regularly $399, you’ll now find White Dove, Anthracite Black, Jade Green, and Midnight Blue model all siting wit the same 20% price drop to deliver one of the lowest prices we have ever tracked on the 2024 Pi8 release from Bowers & Wilkins.
Today’s deal is matching the lowest price we have tracked on these buds via Amazon since release last summer outside of a couple extremely short-lived $299 offers on select colorways. Today’s deals are also on par with the holiday pricing we featured at the tail end of 2024 and one of the less than a handful of price drops we have seen all-time.
Side-stepping the likes of Apple’s AirPods, Sony’s wonderful XM series buds, the Bose QuietComfort, and even Beats might be a tall order for some. But those who know Bowers & Wilkins know how amazing its audio gear can be. And, after getting a chance to test out the Pi8 set last fall, I can confidently say they are among the more premium models I have put in my ears, while delivering some of the delicate and impeccable audio re-production out there – if you’re lolling for the most hard-hittin’ist, bassiest, and thumpin’ist audio, these set likely isn’t for you. But if you can appreciate the finer details in music, they are seriously fantastic.
You can summon up Siri with them, leverage onboard active noise cancellation, and make use of the built-in audio retransmission feature – beam wired-only sources to the buds wirelessly (in-flight, gym gear, and so on) with no additional accessories.
Our hands-on review details the user experience completely – here’s an excerpt:
In the end, it’s all about the sound with these wireless earbuds. Other models out there, many of which in lower price points, offer more bells and whistles in the feature department, deeper Siri integration, cases with displays on them, additional listening modes, ANC customization, in-ear fit tech, and more, but not very many of them sound this good to my ears. If you’re looking to drop the sort of cash Bowers & Wilkins gear tends to demand, it’s hard to go wrong here. And frankly you get what you pay for with the Pi8 buds – they sound like they are worth $399.
