If the 48GB setup on this config is a bit overkill for you, Amazon is also offering a notable price on the 24GB model with the 512GB SSD down at $2,229 shipped. Regularly $2,499, you’re looking at a $270 price drop here on both the Space Black and silver colorways to deliver the best price of the year – this one did drop to the $2,199 all-time low for Black Friday last year, but today’s deal is the best we have tracked otherwise, coming within $30 of the best price yet.
The latest 16-incher MacBook Pro units are indeed a more niche purchase – it would seem most folks would rather side-step the premium on the extra screen real estate in favor of a more compact and affordable 14-inch variant, and understandably so.
