The hype and marketing train towards the launch of Nintendo Switch 2 rolls on today as Nintendo and the Seattle Marines have announced expansion of their long-standing relationship – the 2025 Mariners jerseys will feature a Nintendo Switch 2 logo this year.
Nintendo Switch 2 heads to the big leagues
Nintendo is now officially the club’s first-ever official jersey sleeve partner, according to an official MBL press release this morning.
Nintendo will be featured on the Mariners jersey sleeve all season long for both regular season and postseason games with the official partnership set to debut on Opening Day, March 27 vs. the A’s at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
The Mariners and Nintendo have been aligned for years – Nintendo’s third president, Hiroshi Yamauchi, purchased the team back in 1992 and helped to keep it in Seattle thereafter before his passing in 2013. Nintendo did sell its majority stake in the team, but it still owns a smaller portion of it.
This legacy will now continued ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch this year, as the Mariners will feature the the Nintendo racetrack logo on their home jerseys, and a Nintendo Switch 2 logo on away jerseys – this will be, as noted in today’s official PR, the first team in MLB history to “feature different marks for home and road games.”

Here’s what Mariners President of Business Operations Kevin Martinez had to say about the collab:
Now, each time the Mariners take the field, our jersey sleeves will help serve as a reminder of all that Nintendo of America has done for the Northwest community and the team. There isn’t a better partnership in Major League Baseball. We are grateful for our incredible relationship with Nintendo.
Beyond that, “All-Star Centerfielder Julio Rodríguez will help bring the collaboration between the Mariners and Nintendo to life, serving as a brand ambassador.”

Okay, so it’s not a Switch 2 release date, or the official price, or a list of launch titles, but it is something, and Nintendo is gearing up to have its new console just about anywhere it can ahead of the May, or June launch.
