Earlier this week Sony unveiled the new Astro Bot PS5 Slim console bundle and it is now available for purchase at Best Buy and Amazon. While, considering how late into the console cycle we are, most PlayStation gamers are likely looking to land a PS5 Pro or one of those sweet PS1-style consoles, if anything at all, the new Astro Bot bundle has arrived nonetheless and comes with some notable overall savings, not to mention the 2024 Game of the Year.
New Astro Bot PS5 Slim console bundle now live from $400
When the console was announced earlier this week Sony was focused on the PlayStation 5 Slim disc model of the bundle, a package that is now available at Best Buy for $449.99 shipped. But Amazon also now has an all-digital version of the Astro Bot bundle up for sale at $399.99 shipped as well. Both packages are otherwise identical and include the following:
- PlayStation 5 console
- DualSense Wireless Controller
- ASTRO BOT full game voucher
- 1TB SSD (solid-state drive)
- 2 plastic stand feet to place the console horizontally
- HDMI cable
- AC power cord
- USB cable
- User manual
- ASTRO’s PLAYROOM (Pre-installed game)
As we detailed previously, this bundle might feel entirely underwhelming for PlayStation gamers that have had the only console they will need this generation for years, and especially those who just recently picked up a PlayStation 5 Pro, but there are some notable savings here for folks that are indeed looking to land a base model machine. The regularly price on the PlayStation Slim disc-equipped console is $500, that’s means you’re saving $110 on the bundle with Astro Bot included – the same goes for the digital edition of the console. In other words, these bundles are $50 under the price of the standard console and you’re getting a FREE $60 game – that’s not a bad deal for two items that don’t see a ton of price drops.
