Very first straight up cash deal hits brand-new 11-inch iPad (A16) at Amazon from $329, or from $174 with trade

First deal $329
iPad A16 preorder deal

We have already detailed some serious opportunities to score a major price drop on the new iPad (A16) for folks looking to trade up from the previous iPad 10th Generation model – you can score the new model as low as $174 or 50% off (and that’s just a 64GB iPad 10). But for those who don’t have a machine to trade-in, Amazon is now offering the first straight up cash deals on the new 11-inch iPad down at $329 shipped.

After Apple issued an official price drop on the now previous-generation iPad 10th Generation last May, falling from $449 down to $349, it has decided to carry over the lower MSRP to its new iPad 11 while doubling the storage, for iPad (A16) as it is officially known.

That means today’s Amazon deal is really only offering a $20 discount, and only on the silver and blue models, but this is indeed the lowest price we have tracked to date on pre-orders for folks without a trade-in to leverage against the new Apple tablet.

As detailed in our launch coverage over at 9to5Mac, the new base model iPad features the A16 chip and twice the storage starting at the same $349 as the previous model. Apple says the A16 delivers 30% better performance than the 10th generation model and lands at up to six times faster than the best-selling Android tablet. While it sadly does not support Apple Intelligence, it still, in my opinion, makes for a great wallet-friendly and casual Apple tablet experience for folks who just don’t care about the fancy AI tech.

A complete rundown awaits right here

Apple iPad (A16) features:

The 11-inch iPad is now more capable than ever with the superfast A16 chip, Liquid Retina display, advanced cameras, fast Wi-Fi 6, USB-C connector, and four gorgeous colors. iPad delivers a powerful way to create, stay connected, and get things done—all for a surprisingly affordable price.
